4: Prepare the studio

Do it yourself stand alone sending or connected with a Studio 2 control room


Prepare your studio for Solo sending (journalist-technician)

  • Turn ON mixer channels Digas1, Digas2 and Digas3. These channels are used by Turboplayer to play your show playlist.
  • PC Lyd channel set to OFF. This will avoid any unwanted sounds from the Windows PC system, YouTube, Soundcloud, osv.
  • Ensure that you have all the microphones that you will be using visible on the mixer panel!

STUDIO 2 special note! If the mixer panel is showing Studio 1 microphones, you will need to reset the mixer to standard Studio 2 settings. (Illustrated guide here)

  • Press the Snapshot button on the mixer
  • Choose Studio 2 layout
  • Press the white up arrow button then the Home button

Prepare Studio 2 for Control Room sending (Studio 2 control room connected to Studio 1)

  • Turn ON mixer channels Digas1, Digas2 and Digas3. These channels are used by Turboplayer to play your show playlist.
  • PC Lyd channel set to OFF. This will avoid any unwanted sounds from the Windows PC system, YouTube, Soundcloud, osv. PFL button for this channel should be pressed and glowing yellow. This will allow you to preview sounds in Turboplayer without them being included in your sending.
  • Load the microphone layout in the mixer Press Snapshot button on the mixer
  • Choose Sending layout.
  • Press the white up arrow button and then the Home button. The panel will now show Studio 1 microphones and a BT (Bluetooth) channel to connect a mobile device.
  • Go into Studio 1 and turn off all the microphones on the Studio 1 mixer panel if any are still on. The red lamp for "on-air" microphones will turn off.
  • On the Studio 2 mixer, press the Connect button. The Studio 1 mixer will "go dark" and be disengaged from the system. The Studio 2 mixer now controls both studios.
